3. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Canon PIXMA TS9521C printer for the first time.
3.1. Power Connection
- Unpack the printer and remove all protective materials.
- Connect the power cord to the printer's power input and then to a wall outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
3.2. Ink Cartridge Installation
- Open the printer's top cover to access the ink tank compartment.

3.4. Network Connection (Wi-Fi)
Connecting your printer to a Wi-Fi network allows for wireless printing from various devices.
- On the printer's touchscreen display, navigate to the Setup menu.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup or Network Settings.
- Choose Standard setup or Easy setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network (SSID) from the list and enter the network password.
- Confirm the settings. The printer will connect to your network.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Printing

4.3. Scanning Documents
The PIXMA TS9521C features a flatbed scanner and an Auto Document Feeder (ADF) for scanning single or multiple pages.
- Using the Flatbed: Lift the scanner lid, place the document or photo face-down on the glass, align it with the guide mark, and close the lid.
- Using the ADF: Load multiple documents face-up into the ADF tray.
- On the printer's control panel, select Scan.
- Choose scan destination (e.g., computer, cloud service, SD card) and adjust scan settings (e.g., color/grayscale, resolution).
- Press Start Scan.

4.4. Copying Documents

- Load the original document on the flatbed or in the ADF.

5.1. Cleaning the Printer
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Interior: Refer to the on-screen menu for options like Bottom Plate Cleaning or Roller Cleaning if you experience smudges or paper feeding issues.
- Scanner Glass: Clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
5.2. Replacing Ink Tanks
When an ink tank runs low or is empty, replace it promptly to maintain print quality.
- Ensure the printer is powered on.
- Open the top cover of the printer. The print head holder will move to the replacement position.
- Press the tab on the empty ink tank and lift it out.
- Unpack a new Canon ink tank, remove the orange protective cap, and insert it firmly into the correct slot until it clicks.
- Close the top cover.
5.3. Print Head Alignment and Nozzle Check
If print quality degrades (e.g., blurry text, incorrect colors, streaks), perform these utility functions:
- Nozzle Check: From the printer's maintenance menu or printer driver on your computer, perform a nozzle check to identify clogged nozzles.
- Print Head Cleaning: If the nozzle check pattern shows gaps, perform a print head cleaning.
- Print Head Alignment: If prints are misaligned, perform a print head alignment. This can be done automatically or manually via the printer's menu.
6. Troubleshooting
