The iGutech Professional Steam Hair Straightener is designed to provide efficient hair straightening with the added benefit of steam hydration. It features ceramic plates, a 3D ceramic comb, and an integrated water reservoir for steam generation.

Key Features:

• Steam Function: 3+2 steam holes provide a consistent steam eruption of 2.7 g/min, allowing water ions to penetrate hair, locking in moisture.

• Adjustable Temperature: Temperature settings from 150°C (300°F) to 230°C (450°F) for various hair types.
• MCH Heating: Metal Ceramic Heater ensures rapid heat-up (60 seconds) and quick temperature recovery.
• Automatic Shut-off: The device automatically turns off after 60 minutes of inactivity for safety.

Setup

1. Unpack Contents: Carefully remove the straightener and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all items are present: 1 x Hair Straightener, 1 x Water Bottle, 1 x User Manual.
2. Fill Water Reservoir:
   • Locate the removable water tank on the side of the straightener.
   • Gently detach the water tank.
   • Using the provided water bottle/pipette, fill the tank with distilled water only. Do not use tap water or other liquids, as this can cause mineral buildup and damage the appliance.
   • Securely reattach the water tank to the straightener.

3. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (100-240V).

Operating Instructions

1. Prepare Hair: Ensure your hair is clean, dry, and thoroughly brushed/detangled before use.
2. Power On: Press and hold the power button to turn on the straightener. The LCD display will illuminate.
3. Select Temperature:
   • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the temperature. The temperature range is 150°C (300°F) to 230°C (450°F).
   • Refer to the following guidelines for temperature selection:
     • 150°C - 170°C (300°F - 340°F): For delicate, fine, or color-treated hair.
     • 190°C - 210°C (375°F - 410°F): For normal, medium, or wavy hair.
     • 230°C (450°F): For thick, coarse, or very curly hair.
   • Allow approximately 60 seconds for the straightener to reach the selected temperature. The display will indicate when the temperature is stable.

4. Activate Steam Function: Press the steam switch button to activate the steam function. You may hear a slight humming sound as the steam is generated.
5. Straighten Hair:
   • Take a small section of hair and place it between the ceramic plates.
   • Gently close the plates and glide the straightener slowly and evenly from the roots to the ends of the hair. The integrated 3D ceramic comb will help guide the hair and distribute steam.
   • Repeat for all sections of hair until desired straightness is achieved. Avoid holding the straightener in one place for too long to prevent heat damage.
6. Automatic Temperature Lock: The device features an automatic temperature lock to prevent accidental changes during styling.
7. Power Off: After use, press and hold the power button to turn off the straightener. Unplug it from the power outlet.
8. Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool down completely on a heat-resistant surface before storing.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your iGutech Steam Hair Straightener.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always ensure the straightener is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
2. Empty Water Tank: After each use, detach the water tank and empty any remaining distilled water. This prevents stagnant water and potential mineral buildup.
3. Clean Plates and Comb: Wipe the ceramic plates and comb with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.
4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, dry cloth.
5. Storage: Store the straightener in a dry, safe place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance, as this can damage the cord.
