5. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and security of your access control system. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.
5.1. Mounting Location
Choose a secure and accessible location for mounting the keypad. While the touch panel is waterproof, ensure the overall unit is protected from direct, prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions if installed outdoors. Mount at a height convenient for all users.
5.2. Wiring Connections
The T9 keypad requires a DC12V power supply. Connect the power input terminals to a stable DC12V source. Connect the unlock relay output to your electric lock mechanism. Ensure correct polarity for all connections.

6. Operation
The T9 keypad allows for full programming directly from the unit. Below are general operational guidelines.
6.1. Initial Setup and Master Password
Upon first power-up, the system will be in a default state. It is highly recommended to immediately set a master password or register a management card for administrative access.
6.2. Adding Users (Cards/Passwords)
To add new users, enter the programming mode using your master password or management card. Follow the on-screen prompts or specific key sequences (refer to the quick start guide if provided) to register new RFID cards or assign user passwords. The system supports up to 1000 user cards and 1 password.
6.3. Deleting Users
To remove access for a user, enter programming mode and follow the instructions to delete specific user cards or passwords.
6.4. Accessing the Door
- Card Only: Present a registered EM/ID card to the reader area on the keypad.
- Password Only: Enter your registered password on the keypad, followed by the '#' key (or designated enter key).
- Card + Password: Present your registered card, then enter your associated password followed by the '#' key.
Upon successful authentication, the lock will momentarily disengage, allowing entry.
6.5. Tamper Alarm
The system features a tamper alarm. If the unit detects unauthorized removal or tampering, an audible alarm will sound. Refer to the programming instructions to disarm or reset the alarm.
