Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Hyper Glow Thomas engine.
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver (not included), unscrew the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
2. Track Assembly
- Connect the included 3 glow-in-the-dark TrackMaster track pieces by aligning the connectors and pushing them firmly together.
- These track pieces can be connected to other TrackMaster train sets and glow-in-the-dark items (sold separately) to expand your railway.
- For optimal glow effect, ensure the track is exposed to light before playing in a darkened room.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- Place the Hyper Glow Thomas engine onto the assembled TrackMaster track.
- Locate the ON/OFF switch, typically found on the top or side of the engine.
- Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to start the engine. The train will begin to move and its special lights will activate.
- To stop the engine, slide the switch to the 'OFF' position.
2. Activating the Glow Feature
The Hyper Glow Thomas engine is designed to interact with glow-in-the-dark TrackMaster track. When the engine is switched 'ON' and moving, its underside lights will shine onto the track. In a darkened environment, these lights will charge the glow-in-the-dark track, leaving a visible glowing trail behind the train as it moves. For the best glow effect, ensure the room is sufficiently dark.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the engine and track pieces with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the engine and track in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Battery Care: Remove batteries if the toy will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
