- Attach the Table Mounting Clamp: Secure the table mounting clamp to a sturdy desk or table edge. Tighten the knob until the clamp is firmly in place.
- Insert the Scissor Arm Stand: Slide the base of the adjustable suspension scissor arm stand into the hole on the table clamp. Adjust the arm's position and tension as needed.
- Mount the Shock Mount: Screw the shock mount onto the threaded end of the scissor arm stand. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Install the Microphone: Gently squeeze the two hoops of the shock mount to open it, then carefully slide the ZINGYOU BM-800 condenser microphone into the center. Release the hoops to secure the microphone.
- Attach the Pop Filter: Clamp the pop filter to the microphone stand or desk. Position it approximately 2-3 inches in front of the microphone to reduce plosive sounds.
- Apply the Foam Cap (Optional): For additional wind and plosive noise reduction, slide the foam cap over the microphone's grille. This can be used in conjunction with or instead of the pop filter.
- Connect the Microphone Cable: Plug the XLR end of the cable into the bottom of the microphone.
- Connect to Computer/Audio Interface:
- Using USB Sound Card Adapter: Plug the 3.5mm end of the XLR cable into the microphone input of the USB sound card adapter. Then, plug the USB end of the adapter into an available USB port on your computer.
- Using an Audio Interface (not included): If you have a professional audio interface with an XLR input, connect the XLR cable directly to the interface.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Microphone Placement and Pickup Pattern
The ZINGYOU BM-800 features a cardioid pickup pattern, meaning it primarily captures sound from the front and rejects sound from the sides and rear. For optimal sound quality, ensure you speak or sing directly into the front of the microphone, where the ZINGYOU logo is located.

4.2 Adjusting the Boom Arm
The adjustable suspension scissor arm allows for flexible positioning of the microphone. Loosen the tension knobs to adjust the arm's angle and height, then tighten them to secure the desired position. This helps in achieving optimal microphone placement for various recording scenarios.
4.3 Software Configuration
After connecting the USB sound card adapter to your computer, the operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. You may need to select the USB Audio Device as your input source in your recording software or system sound settings.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone body and stand. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the components.
- Storage: When not in use, store the microphone and accessories in a dry, dust-free environment. The included carrying bag can be used for protection during storage or transport.
- Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cables to prevent internal damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound Output:
- Ensure all cables are securely connected (microphone to XLR cable, XLR cable to USB adapter, USB adapter to computer).
- Check your computer's sound settings to confirm the USB Audio Device is selected as the input microphone.
- Verify that the microphone volume is not muted or set too low in your operating system or recording software.
- Poor Sound Quality / Excessive Noise:
- Ensure the microphone is correctly oriented, with the ZINGYOU logo facing the sound source.
- Use the pop filter and/or foam cap to reduce plosives and breath noise.
- Minimize background noise in your recording environment.
- Adjust the input gain/volume in your software to prevent clipping or low signal.
- If using the USB sound card, ensure it is functioning correctly. Some users report better results with dedicated audio interfaces.
- Microphone Arm is Loose:
- Tighten all adjustment knobs on the scissor arm and the table mounting clamp.
