Connecting the Keyboard
- Unpack the keyboard and its components.
- Connect the USB cable from the keyboard to an available USB port on your PC.
- The keyboard will automatically install necessary drivers. For advanced customization and lighting effects, download the ROCCAT Swarm software from the official ROCCAT website.
Attaching the Palm Rest
The included palm rest attaches magnetically to the front edge of the keyboard. Simply align the palm rest with the keyboard's front edge, and the magnets will secure it in place. This provides additional comfort during extended use.

Titan Switch Mechanical (Tactile)
The Vulcan 120 AIMO features ROCCAT's proprietary Titan Switch Mechanical (Tactile). These switches are designed to provide a crisp, tactile bump and instant responsiveness, offering a satisfying typing and gaming experience.
AIMO Illumination
Experience ROCCAT’s proprietary AIMO lighting ecosystem. This system connects compatible devices to present vivid lighting scenarios right out of the box, without the need for extensive configuration. The keyboard features full per-key backlighting in 16.8 million colors. Customize lighting effects and synchronize with other AIMO-compatible devices using the ROCCAT Swarm software.

Mixer-Style Media Controls
The keyboard includes dedicated mixer-style media controls. A volume dial allows for quick adjustment of audio levels, and backlit media buttons enable on-the-fly mute/unmute functions. These controls can also be toggled to adjust lighting brightness.
Easy-Shift[plus] Technology
ROCCAT’s Easy-Shift[plus] technology adds a secondary function to compatible keys. By holding down a designated modifier key, you can instantly access double the command power, enhancing your gaming and productivity.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
The design of the ROCCAT Vulcan 120 AIMO, with its elevated keycaps and aluminum top plate, makes cleaning straightforward. To clean the keyboard:
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer.
- Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- For stubborn dirt or oil residue, gently wipe the keycaps and the aluminum plate with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid excessive moisture.
- The spacebar and other larger keys can be carefully removed for deeper cleaning underneath, as demonstrated in the product video. Reattach by pressing firmly until it clicks into place.
