4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Installing Batteries
- Ensure the camera is powered off.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the camera and remove the camera's battery.
- Insert the appropriate battery magazine (Li-ion or AA) into the battery grip.
- For Li-ion batteries: Insert one or two LP-E6N/LP-E6 batteries into the Li-ion battery magazine, ensuring correct polarity.
- For AA batteries: Insert 6 AA LR6 batteries into the AA battery magazine, observing correct polarity.
- Close the battery magazine securely within the grip.
4.2 Attaching the Battery Grip to the Camera
- Remove the battery compartment cover from your Canon EOS 7D Mark II camera. Store this cover in the designated slot on the battery grip to prevent loss.

5.1 Vertical Shooting Controls
