1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the GOSONO AMT-560 Digital Tuner and Metronome. This compact and versatile device is designed to assist musicians in accurately tuning various instruments and maintaining precise rhythm during practice. It features both a tuner mode for instruments like guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele, and a metronome mode with adjustable tempo and beat values. Please read this manual thoroughly to understand its functions and ensure optimal performance.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The AMT-560 requires batteries (not included) for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device. Open the cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and close the cover securely.

2.2 Attaching to Instrument

The device features a clip for easy attachment to your instrument. For string instruments like guitars, basses, violins, and ukuleles, clip the tuner onto the headstock. The 360-degree rotatable design allows for optimal viewing angles.

2.3 Using the Pickup Cable (Optional)

For enhanced tuning accuracy, especially in noisy environments, you can connect an external pickup cable (6.3mm jack) to the input port on the side of the device. This allows the tuner to detect vibrations directly from the instrument.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (Power button icon) to turn the device on or off. The device features an intelligent auto power-off function; it will turn off automatically if no signal is present or no operation occurs for 3 minutes.

3.2 Mode Selection (Tuner / Metronome)

Press the M/T button to switch between Tuner mode and Metronome mode.

3.3 Tuner Mode

In Tuner mode, the LCD display will show the note name and a tuning meter.

  • Instrument Selection: Press the ITEM button to cycle through tuning modes: Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B), Violin (V), and Ukulele (U).
  • Pitch Adjustment (A4): Press the PITCH button to adjust the A4 reference frequency, typically 440Hz.
  • Tuning Indication:
    • The needle/indicator moves to the left: The note is flat.
    • The needle/indicator moves to the right: The note is sharp.
    • The needle/indicator is in the center and the display turns green: The note is in tune.

3.4 Metronome Mode

In Metronome mode, the LCD display will show tempo, beat value, and rhythm. The device will emit an audible click.

  • Tempo Adjustment: Use the Tempo Up (▲) and Tempo Down (▼) buttons to adjust the tempo from 30 to 280 beats per minute (bpm).
  • Beat Value: Press the BEAT button to select the beat value (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9). This determines the number of beats per measure.
  • Rhythm/Value: Press the VALUE button (♪ icon) to select different rhythm patterns.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the volume wheel on the side of the device to adjust the metronome's output volume (maximum, medium, minimum, mute).
  • TAP Mode: Press and hold the TAP button (often integrated with another button, refer to device markings) to enter TAP mode. Tap the button in time with a desired tempo, and the metronome will calculate and display the BPM.
  • Earphone Output: Connect stereo earphones to the 3.5mm jack for private practice.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or the device stops functioning correctly. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this may damage internal components.

5. Troubleshooting
