Setup

Battery Installation

The thermometer requires one CR2 battery. If the battery is not pre-installed or needs replacement, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover, usually on the back or bottom of the device.
  2. Open the cover by sliding or gently prying it open.
  3. Insert the CR2 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Power On

Press the power button (usually marked with a power symbol ) to turn on the thermometer. The display will briefly show all segments, followed by the last reading or a standby screen.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Temperature Reading (Ear Mode)

  1. Ensure the thermometer is clean and ready for use.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the device.
  3. Gently insert the probe into the ear canal. For accurate readings, ensure the probe is positioned correctly, pointing towards the eardrum.
  4. Press the "START" button. The measurement will be completed in approximately 1 second.
  5. The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen. The screen may illuminate with Fever Glow technology (e.g., red for fever) if a high temperature is detected.
  6. Remove the thermometer from the ear.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Thermometer
