3. Setup

The Fangtek barcode scanner is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. No drivers or additional software are required for most standard uses.

Initial Connection:

  1. Locate an available USB port on your computer (Desktop or Laptop).

4. Operating Instructions

Scanning a Barcode:

  1. Ensure the scanner is connected to your computer and the application where you want the barcode data to appear (e.g., a text editor, spreadsheet, or POS software) is active.
  2. Point the scanner's window at the barcode you wish to scan.
  3. Press and hold the yellow trigger button. A red laser line will emit from the scanner.
  4. Align the red laser line across the entire barcode.
  5. Upon successful scan, the scanner will emit a beep (if sound is enabled) and the data from the barcode will appear in your active application.
