4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Inspect all parts for any signs of shipping damage. If damage is found, do not proceed with assembly and contact your supplier immediately.
- Verify that all listed components are present.
4.2 Assembly
- Attach the agitator arm with the stainless steel blades to the motor shaft. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Secure the clamp mechanism to the motor assembly.
4.3 Mounting the Mixer
- Select a suitable mixing tank or barrel (up to 50 gallons / 200 liters capacity).
- Position the mixer over the tank. Use the adjustable clamp to securely attach the mixer to the rim of the tank. Tighten the clamp firmly to prevent movement during operation.
- Ensure the agitator blades are submerged in the liquid to be mixed, but maintain sufficient clearance from the bottom and sides of the tank to prevent damage and allow for proper circulation.
4.4 Air Supply Connection
- Connect a clean, dry, and regulated air supply line to the air inlet port on the mixer.
- The recommended air pressure is 6-9mpa (approximately 87-130 psi).
- It is highly recommended to use an air filter, regulator, and lubricator (FRL unit) in your air line to ensure the air is clean, at the correct pressure, and lubricated, which will prolong the life of the pneumatic motor.
- Ensure all air connections are tight to prevent leaks.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Before Operation
- Verify that the mixer is securely mounted to the tank.
- Confirm that the air supply is connected and regulated to the correct pressure.
- Ensure the agitator blades are free to rotate and are properly submerged in the material.
5.2 Starting and Speed Adjustment
- Slowly open the regulating switch located near the air inlet to start the pneumatic motor.
- Adjust the regulating switch to control the mixing speed. Turn clockwise to increase speed and counter-clockwise to decrease speed. The mixer supports a speed range of 0-1440 revolutions per minute (r/min).
- Begin mixing at a lower speed and gradually increase as needed, observing the material's consistency and avoiding splashing.
5.3 Mixing Process
- Allow the mixer to operate for the required duration until the desired homogeneity or consistency of the material is achieved.
- Monitor the mixing process to ensure efficient operation and adjust speed if necessary.
5.4 Stopping the Mixer
- Slowly close the regulating switch completely to stop the motor.
- Once the blades have stopped rotating, disconnect the air supply from the mixer.
5.5 Applications
This pneumatic mixer is suitable for a wide range of applications:
- Paint Stirring: Ideal for stirring various paints, especially for mixed spraying processes.
- Chemical Industry: Used for homogenization, dispersion, and emulsification of chemical materials.
- Food Industry: Suitable for mixing food products.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: Applicable for pharmaceutical preparations.
- Cosmetic Industry: Used for blending cosmetic ingredients.
- Other Industries: Including synthetic leather, leather, tires, ceramics, textile petrochemical, dissolution, medicine, automobile, furniture, and ball manufacturing.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pneumatic mixer.
6.1 Cleaning
- After each use, especially when changing materials, thoroughly clean the agitator arm and blades. This prevents material buildup and cross-contamination.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents for the materials mixed. Disconnect the air supply before cleaning.
6.2 Lubrication
- The pneumatic motor requires regular lubrication. If using an FRL unit, ensure the lubricator is filled with appropriate pneumatic tool oil.
- If not using an FRL unit, apply a few drops of pneumatic tool oil directly into the air inlet before and after each use.
6.3 Air Supply Quality
- Ensure your air compressor provides clean, dry air. Moisture and contaminants can damage the pneumatic motor.
- Regularly drain condensation from your air compressor tank.
6.4 Inspection
- Periodically inspect the agitator blades, shaft, clamp, and air connections for signs of wear, damage, or leaks.
- Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately to prevent further issues and ensure safe operation.
6.5 Storage
- When not in use, store the mixer in a clean, dry environment, protected from dust and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their potential solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Mixer not starting | No air supply, low air pressure, regulating switch closed, motor blockage. | Check air compressor, ensure air line is connected, open regulating switch, inspect motor for obstructions. |
| Low power or speed | Insufficient air pressure, lack of lubrication, air leaks, motor wear. | Increase air pressure, lubricate motor, check for and seal air leaks, consider motor service if wear is suspected. |
| Excessive vibration | Mixer not securely clamped, bent agitator arm or damaged blades, improper liquid level. | Tighten clamp, inspect and replace damaged components, adjust liquid level to ensure blades are fully submerged and balanced. |
| Air leaks | Loose connections, damaged hoses or seals. | Tighten all air line connections, inspect hoses and seals for damage and replace if necessary. |
