1. Introduction
The Canon EOS 6D Mark II is a full-frame DSLR camera designed for advanced photography. 2. Setup
2.1. Charging the Battery
Before initial use, fully charge the provided battery using the battery charger. Insert the battery into the charger, ensuring correct orientation. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
2.2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera. Insert the charged battery until it locks into place. Open the memory card slot cover and insert a compatible SD card (UHS-I, U3, V30 recommended) with the label facing the correct direction until it clicks. Close both covers securely.
2.3. Attaching the Lens
Align the red or white index mark on the lens with the corresponding mark on the camera body. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place. To detach, press the lens release button and rotate the lens counter-clockwise.

3. Operating the Camera
3.1. Power On/Off
Locate the power switch near the mode dial. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on the camera. Slide it to "OFF" to power off.
3.2. Basic Shooting Modes
Rotate the mode dial to select your desired shooting mode:
- Program AE (P): Camera sets aperture and shutter speed automatically.
- Shutter-priority AE (Tv): You set shutter speed, camera sets aperture.
- Aperture-priority AE (Av): You set aperture, camera sets shutter speed.
- Manual Exposure (M): You set both aperture and shutter speed.
- Landscape: Optimized settings for landscape photography.
- Other scene modes and custom settings are also available.
3.3. Autofocus System
The camera features a 45-point all cross-type AF system for precise focusing through the optical viewfinder. For Live View shooting, Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides fast and smooth autofocus. Select your AF mode (One-Shot AF, AI Servo AF, AI Focus AF) and AF area selection mode as needed.

3.4. Video Recording
To record videos, set the mode dial to the movie shooting mode. The camera supports Full HD (1080p) video recording at up to 60 frames per second. Use the dedicated Movie shooting button to start and stop recording. The camera uses MPEG-4 and H.264 formats.
3.5. Wi-Fi Connectivity
The EOS 6D Mark II includes built-in Wi-Fi for wireless communication with compatible smartphones, tablets, and other devices. This allows for remote control of the camera and easy transfer of images and videos. Refer to the camera's on-screen menu for Wi-Fi setup instructions.

4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning the Camera
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe dust and smudges. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
- Lens: Use a lens blower brush to remove dust. For smudges, use a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid touching the lens surface directly.
- Sensor: The camera has an automatic sensor cleaning function. For manual cleaning, consult a professional service.
- LCD Screen: Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
4.2. Storage
When not in use, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a camera bag or case to protect it from dust and physical damage. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.
