  2. Hold the iron stand upright on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Align the threaded neck of the glass bulb vase with the coiled metal holder on the stand.

Operating Instructions

This vase is ideal for hydroponic plant propagation. Follow these steps to use your planter:

  1. Fill the glass bulb vase with clean water, leaving a small air gap at the top.
  2. Select a plant cutting suitable for water propagation (e.g., Pothos, Philodendron, Spider Plant). Ensure the cutting has at least one node that will be submerged in water.
  3. Carefully insert the plant cutting into the opening of the glass bulb vase, ensuring the node is fully submerged.
  4. Place the assembled planter in a location with appropriate light conditions for your chosen plant. Avoid direct, harsh sunlight unless the plant prefers it.
  5. Observe the roots as they develop. Change the water every few days to maintain freshness and prevent algae growth.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and aesthetic appeal of your Marbrasse planter:

  • Glass Bulb: To clean the glass bulb, carefully unscrew it from the metal stand. Wash with mild soap and water. For stubborn residue or algae, a small bottle brush can be used. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before reassembling.
  • Iron Stand: Wipe the metal stand with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish. Ensure the stand is dry to prevent rust.
  • Water Changes: Change the water in the vase every 3-5 days, or more frequently if it appears cloudy or discolored, to provide fresh nutrients and oxygen to the plant roots.

Troubleshooting

IssuePossible Cause / Solution
Glass bulb appears fragile or breaks easily. The glass bulb is delicate. Handle with care during assembly, cleaning, and placement. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to sudden impacts or extreme temperature changes.
Difficulty cleaning inside the bulb. The opening is small. Use a narrow bottle brush or a flexible cleaning tool designed for small openings. Regular water changes can minimize the need for deep cleaning.
Plant not rooting or appears unhealthy.Ensure the plant cutting is healthy and has at least one node submerged. Change water regularly. Provide adequate light (indirect sunlight is often best for propagation). Research specific plant requirements for optimal rooting.
Stand appears unstable.Ensure the stand is placed on a flat, level surface. Verify the glass bulb is securely screwed into the holder. The metal stand is sturdy, but proper placement is key for stability.
