Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Light: Carefully remove the LED aquarium light and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
  2. Attach Suction Cups: Securely attach the two provided suction cups to the rubber end caps of the LED light tube. Ensure they are firmly seated.
  3. Position the Light:
    • Submersible Use: If placing the light underwater, ensure the suction cups are pressed firmly against the clean, dry glass surface of the aquarium. The light is fully waterproof (IP68 rated).
    • Above Water Use: The light can also be placed above the water surface, secured to the aquarium lid or rim using the suction cups.

  4. Connect Power: Connect the power cable from the LED light to the 12V DC power adapter. Ensure the connection is secure.
  5. Plug In: Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (100-240V). Ensure the outlet is equipped with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for safety, especially in aquatic environments.

Operating Instructions

The VARMHUS SolarNovo LED Aquarium Light features a simple on/off switch for operation.

  1. Power On/Off: Use the inline switch on the power cable to turn the light ON or OFF.
  2. Light Mode: This model provides a combination of blue and white LED light. The blue and white lights illuminate simultaneously and cannot be individually selected or adjusted for color.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the light tube to prevent algae buildup, which can reduce light output. Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft cloth or sponge and aquarium-safe cleaning solutions if necessary.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cable, plug, and light tube for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure suction cups maintain a strong grip.
  • Storage: If storing the light, ensure it is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
