4. Operating Instructions

Once assembled and primed, your Greenworks GPW2005 pressure washer is ready for operation.

4.1 Nozzle Selection

Choose the appropriate quick-connect nozzle for your cleaning task. To change nozzles, pull back the collar on the quick-connect wand, insert the desired nozzle, and release the collar to lock it in place. Always ensure the nozzle is securely seated before operating.

  • 25° Nozzle (Green): For general cleaning of most surfaces. Provides a strong, fan-shaped spray.
  • 40° Nozzle (White): For gentle cleaning of delicate surfaces or wide area rinsing.
  • Turbo Nozzle: Provides a concentrated, oscillating stream for tough stains and heavily soiled areas. Use with caution on delicate surfaces.
  • High-Pressure Soap Applicator (Black): For applying detergent. This nozzle operates at a lower pressure to allow for soap application.

4.3 Using the Soap Applicator

  1. Fill the soap applicator bottle with pressure washer safe detergent.
  2. Attach the black soap applicator nozzle to the wand.
  3. Squeeze the trigger to apply detergent to the cleaning surface. Allow the detergent to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions), but do not let it dry.
  4. Remove the soap applicator nozzle and replace it with a rinsing nozzle (e.g., 25° or 40°). Rinse the surface thoroughly.

4.4 Shutting Down

  1. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • Cleaning Nozzles: Regularly inspect and clean nozzles for blockages. Use the included nozzle cleaning tool if necessary.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Check and clean the water inlet filter periodically to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Hose and Cord Care: Coil the high-pressure hose onto the integrated reel and wrap the power cord neatly after each use. Avoid kinking or damaging the hoses and cord.
  • Winterization (for cold climates): If storing in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing, drain all water from the pump and hoses. Consider using a pump protector solution to prevent freezing and damage.
  • Storage: Store the pressure washer in a dry, protected area where it is not exposed to freezing temperatures.
