5.2. Wall-Mount Installation

If DIN-Rail is not available, you can wall-mount the device using screws (not always included, check package contents).

  1. Mark the positions for the mounting screws on the wall using the device's mounting holes as a template.
  2. Drill pilot holes if necessary and insert wall anchors.
  3. Secure the device to the wall using appropriate screws.

5.3. Wiring and Connections

  1. Power Connection: Connect a 12~48V DC power source to the V+/V- terminal block. Ensure correct polarity.
  2. Data Input: Connect an Ethernet cable from your non-PoE network device (e.g., switch, router) to the Ethernet port on the injector.
  3. PoE Output: Connect an Ethernet cable from the PoE OUT port on the injector to your PoE-powered device (e.g., IP camera, VoIP phone, wireless access point).

6. Operating Instructions

Once the device is properly installed and connected, it will automatically begin operation. The E-link PoE+ Injector functions as a plug-and-play device, requiring no complex configuration.

6.1. Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Functionality

The injector combines data from the Ethernet port with power from the DC input and delivers both to the connected PoE-powered device via the PoE OUT port. This eliminates the need for separate power outlets for your PoE devices.

The injector supports IEEE802.3af (15.4W) and IEEE802.3at (30W) standards, automatically detecting and providing the necessary power to compatible devices.

6.2. LED Status Indicators

  • PWR LED (Green):
    • On: Device is powered on.
    • Off: Device is powered off or no power input.
  • PoE LED (Green):
    • On: PoE power is being supplied to the connected device.
    • Off: No PoE power is being supplied.

7. Maintenance

The E-link PoE+ Injector is designed for minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance:

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device to prevent overheating.
  • Regularly check cable connections for secure fit.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified personnel for service.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power (PWR LED off)No power input or incorrect voltage.Check DC power source and connections. Ensure voltage is 12~48V.
