1. Introduction

The Wyze Cam Pan is a versatile 1080p Full HD indoor smart home camera designed to provide comprehensive surveillance and peace of mind. With its pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities, two-way audio, and advanced night vision, you can monitor your home from anywhere. 2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Power-On

1. Unpack your Wyze Cam Pan and all accessories.
2. Connect the USB power cable to the camera's micro USB port located at the back.
3. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet. The camera will begin its initialization sequence.

3.2 App Installation & Wi-Fi Connection

1. Download the Wyze app from your mobile device's app store (available for Apple iOS and Android).
2. Open the Wyze app and create an account or log in.
3. Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
4. Select 'Wyze Cam Pan' from the list of devices.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera's lens.

3.3 Mounting

The Wyze Cam Pan can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling. It features a standard screw mount for tripod compatibility. Ensure the camera has a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor and is within range of your Wi-Fi network.

4. Operating

4.1 Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) Control

Control the camera's viewing angle remotely using the Wyze app. Pan (360° horizontal) and tilt (93° vertical) to see every corner of your room. You can also set up to 4 custom waypoints for automatic Pan Scan patrols.

4.2 Live Stream & Two-Way Audio

Access a 1080p Full HD live stream of your home from anywhere using the Wyze app. Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication with family members or pets.

4.3 Night Vision

The camera's enhanced night vision, powered by 6 infrared (IR) LEDs, allows you to see clearly up to 30 feet in absolute darkness. Note that IR does not work through glass windows.

4.4 Motion/Sound Recording & Notifications

Wyze Cam Pan can automatically record 12-second video clips when motion or sound is detected. Enable mobile push notifications to receive alerts only when activity is detected, reducing unnecessary monitoring.

4.5 Local Storage (MicroSD)

For continuous recording, insert a MicroSD card (8GB, 16GB, or 32GB FAT32 compatible, sold separately) into the camera. You can play back recorded videos directly from the Wyze app.

4.6 Voice Control

The Wyze Cam Pan works with Alexa and Google Assistant (US only). Use voice commands to view live streams on compatible smart displays.

4.7 Sharing Access

Share live streams and video recordings with multiple family members by inviting them to your account through the Wyze app. Access can be easily managed and removed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

Keep the camera clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the lens is free from dust or smudges for optimal video quality.

5.2 Firmware Updates

Regularly check for firmware updates through the Wyze app to ensure your camera has the latest features, security enhancements, and bug fixes. Follow the in-app instructions for updating the firmware.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connectivity Issues

• Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz is not supported).
• Check your Wi-Fi signal strength in the Wyze app. If weak, try moving the camera closer to your router or using a Wi-Fi extender.
• Restart the camera by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.

6.2 Unusual Noises

Some users have reported a buzzing sound from the camera. If this occurs, try restarting the camera. If the issue persists, contact Wyze support.
