1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the PROCET Gigabit PoE Injector, model PT-PSE106GW. This device is designed to supply power and data to Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible devices, such as PTZ webcams, IP cameras, and wireless access points, over a single Ethernet cable. 4. Product Overview

The PT-PSE106GW is a single-port PoE injector designed for reliable power and data transmission. It features two RJ45 ports (LAN and PoE), LED indicators for power and active status, and a standard AC power input.

4.1. Features

4.2. LED Indicators

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install and connect your PoE Injector:

  1. Connect to Network: Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch or router to the LAN port on the PoE Injector.

  2. Connect to PoE Device: Connect another Ethernet cable from the PoE port on the injector to your PoE-compatible device (e.g., IP camera, wireless AP). This cable will carry both data and power.

  3. Power On: Plug the provided power cord into the AC input of the PoE Injector, then plug the other end into a local power outlet. The Power LED on the injector should illuminate.

  4. Verify Connection: Once the PoE device is connected and powered, the Active LED on the injector should also illuminate, indicating a successful data and power link.

5.1. Wall Mounting

The injector includes mounting tabs for wall installation:

  • Identify a suitable mounting location.
  • Use appropriate screws (not included) to secure the mounting tabs to the wall.
  • Ensure the device is securely fastened before connecting cables.

6. Operation

Once properly installed, the PROCET PT-PSE106GW operates automatically. It detects the connected PoE device and supplies the necessary power according to IEEE802.3af/at/PoE++ standards. Data transmission occurs simultaneously over the same Ethernet cable.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the device to prevent overheating.
  • Regularly check cable connections for secure fit.
