Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging. Place the main unit on a flat, stable surface, ensuring proper ventilation around it.

2. Speaker Connection

Connect the speaker cables to the corresponding terminals on the main unit and the speakers. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black) for optimal sound quality. Incorrect polarity can result in poor bass response.

3. Antenna Connection

  • FM Antenna: Connect the supplied FM indoor antenna to the FM 75Ω coaxial terminal. Extend the antenna fully for best reception.
  • AM Antenna: Connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the AM terminals. Rotate the antenna for optimal AM reception.

4. Power Connection

After all other connections are made, plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet. The unit will enter standby mode.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off (standby).
  • Volume Control: Rotate the VOLUME knob or use the VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the sound level.
  • Source Selection: Press the FUNCTION or SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through available sources (CD, Tuner, Tape, AUX).

2. CD Playback

  1. Press the CD button to select the CD function.
  2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
  3. Place a CD with the label side up in the tray.
  4. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray. Playback will start automatically or press PLAY.
  5. Use SKIP buttons to skip tracks and STOP or PAUSE for playback control.

3. Radio Tuning

  1. Press the TUNER/BAND button to select FM or AM.
  2. Press the TUNING +/- buttons to manually tune to a station.
  3. For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING +/- until the frequency starts scanning.
  4. To preset stations, tune to the desired station, then press MEMORY followed by a preset number button.

4. Cassette Playback (if applicable)

Note: Some models in this series may not include a cassette deck.

  1. Press the TAPE button to select the cassette function.
  2. Press the OPEN/EJECT button to open the cassette deck.
  3. Insert a cassette tape.
  4. Press PLAY to start playback.
  5. Use REWIND, FAST FORWARD, STOP, and PAUSE for control.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with a mild detergent solution, then wipe dry.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, benzene, thinner, or alcohol, as these can damage the finish.
  • CD Lens Cleaning: Use a commercially available CD lens cleaner if CD playback issues occur due to a dirty lens.

Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Troubleshooting

Before requesting service, check the following points. If you are in doubt about any of the check points, or if the solutions indicated do not solve the problem, consult your dealer or a qualified service technician.

Problem Solution
No power. Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Check if the power outlet is functioning.
No sound. Check speaker connections for correct polarity. Increase the volume level. Ensure the correct audio source is selected.
CD does not play. Ensure the CD is inserted correctly with the label side up. Clean the CD if it is dirty or scratched. Try another CD.
Poor radio reception. Adjust the position and orientation of the FM/AM antennas. If using an indoor antenna, try moving the unit to a different location.
Remote control does not work. Replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's sensor.
