3. Product Overview
The TroheStar N4-1D is a versatile 4-in-1 device combining a USB scanner, wireless scanner, barcode collector, and inventory counter. It features a 2.2-inch TFT color LCD screen and a full keypad for easy operation.

4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the scanner. Connect the USB charging cable to the scanner's charging port and to a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Connecting the USB Wireless Receiver
Insert the USB wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer. The system will automatically install the necessary drivers. No manual driver installation is required.
4.3 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button (usually located at the bottom of the keypad) to turn the device on or off.
5. Operating Modes
The N4-1D offers three primary scanning modes and two data upload modes.
5.1 Scanning Modes
- Wireless Mode (Scan Gun): Scans barcodes and instantly uploads data to your connected device. This mode is suitable for real-time data entry.
- Collect Mode: Allows you to scan barcodes and view them on the screen. You can then export the collected data to your device. This mode is useful for batch processing.
- Inventory Mode: Designed for inventory counting. Scan an item, enter the quantity, and the device will store this information. Data can then be exported for inventory management.

5.2 Data Upload Modes
- Instant Upload Mode: Data is transmitted to the computer immediately after scanning.
- Offline Storage Mode: Barcodes are stored internally on the device and can be uploaded later. The device supports storage of up to 100,000 barcodes in this mode.

6. Advanced Features
6.1 Barcode Editing (Prefix/Suffix)
The scanner allows you to configure prefixes and suffixes to be added to scanned barcode data. This feature is useful for data formatting and integration with specific software systems.
