1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the side of the flash unit.
  2. Slide the battery cover release latch and open the compartment.
  3. Insert the Li-Ion battery, ensuring correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

4.2 Mounting on Camera

  1. Ensure the flash unit is powered off.
  2. Slide the flash's hot shoe foot into your Sony camera's hot shoe mount.
  3. Tighten the locking ring on the flash foot to secure it to the camera. Do not overtighten.

5.2 R2 Wireless System

5.4 Zoom Function

The flash features an automatically zooming flashhead from 24-105mm. This adjusts the flash coverage to match the focal length of your lens. In manual mode, you can also adjust the zoom manually using the ZOOM button.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the flash unit. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent, then wipe dry. Do not use organic solvents like thinner or benzene.
