1. Product Overview

The AVID POWER Tire Inflator is a versatile and portable air compressor designed for convenient inflation of various items, including car tires, motorcycle tires, bicycle tires, sports balls, and small inflatable pool toys. It features an auto shut-off function for precise inflation, dual power supply options (20V rechargeable Li-ion battery or 12V DC adapter), and a digital pressure gauge for accurate readings. Its compact design and built-in LED light enhance usability in diverse conditions.

3. Setup and Charging

3.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 20V Lithium-ion battery pack. Connect the battery charger to a standard wall outlet and then connect it to the battery pack. The indicator lights on the battery will show the charging status. A full charge is recommended for optimal performance and battery longevity. Recharge the battery every 3 months for longer lifetime if not in regular use.

3.2 Attaching the Battery or 12V DC Adapter

The tire inflator offers dual power options:

• Battery Powered: Slide the charged 20V Lithium-ion battery pack onto the base of the inflator until it clicks securely into place.
• 12V DC Adapter: For continuous use or when the battery is low, connect the 12V DC adapter to the inflator's power port and plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V outlet (cigarette lighter socket).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing for Inflation

1. Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle for the item you wish to inflate. The included nozzles are suitable for car tires, bicycle valves (Schrader to DV Presta adapter), and sports balls.
2. Attach Hose: Securely screw the inflation hose onto the valve stem of the item. Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage.
3. Power On: Press the 'On/Unit' button on the digital display gauge to turn on the inflator.

4.2 Setting Desired Pressure

The digital display gauge allows you to set your desired pressure with precision. It supports 4 units: PSI, BAR, KPA, and KG/CM².

4. Select Unit: Press the 'On/Unit' button repeatedly to cycle through the pressure units (PSI, BAR, KPA, KG/CM²) until your desired unit is displayed.
5. Set Pressure: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target pressure. The digital display will show the set value.

4.3 Starting Inflation

6. Begin Inflation: Press the trigger to start the inflation process. The inflator will automatically stop once the preset pressure is reached, preventing overinflation.
7. Monitor Progress: The digital display shows real-time pressure readings. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area, ensuring visibility in dark conditions.

4.4 Multipurpose Use

This handheld air compressor is compatible with a wide range of inflatables:

Note: It is not suitable for high-volume inflatables such as paddleboards or rafts. It is also not recommended for vehicle tires wider than 245mm or requiring over 50 PSI.

5. Maintenance and Care

• Cool Down Period: For optimal device durability, let the tire air compressor cool down for 3 minutes after 10-15 minutes of continuous use.
• Battery Care: A full charge of the battery handles approximately 4x 195/60R14 tires or 3x 215/60R16 tires from flat to 36PSI. Recharge the battery every 3 months for longer lifetime.
• Storage: Store the inflator and its accessories in the provided tool bag in a dry, cool place, away from extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AVID POWER Tire Inflator, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Inflator Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely attached, or that the 12V DC adapter is properly connected to both the inflator and a functioning vehicle outlet.
• Slow Inflation or No Air Output: Check that the inflation hose is securely connected to the valve stem and that there are no kinks or blockages in the hose. Verify that the desired pressure is set correctly and is within the inflator's operating range.
• Inaccurate Pressure Reading: Ensure the nozzle is firmly attached to the valve stem without any air leaks. Recalibrate the digital gauge if necessary by turning the unit off and on.
• Overheating: If the unit feels excessively hot, allow it to cool down for at least 3 minutes before resuming operation, especially after prolonged use (10-15 minutes).
• Battery Drains Quickly: Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Battery performance can be affected by extreme temperatures.
