The Midland GXT1000X3VP4 GMRS Two-Way Radio is designed for reliable communication in various outdoor and group settings. Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the radio is turned off.
  2. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
  3. Insert the provided rechargeable battery pack, ensuring correct polarity. Alternatively, insert four (4) AA alkaline batteries (not included) if not using the rechargeable pack.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Charging the Radios

For optimal performance, fully charge the rechargeable battery packs before first use.

  1. Connect the AC wall adapter or DC vehicle adapter to the desktop charger.
  2. Place the radios into the charging slots on the desktop charger. The charging indicator light will illuminate to show charging status.
  3. A full charge typically takes several hours. Refer to the full user manual for specific charging times.
