Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Power Connection

Carefully remove the iHome iBTW23B unit and its accessories from the packaging. The package includes the iHome Bluetooth Stereo Dual Alarm Clock with Speakerphone, Wireless Charging, and a 1 Amp USB Charging Port, along with a 100V - 240V universal voltage AC adaptor.

Connect the provided AC adaptor to the DC jack located on the back of the unit, then plug the adaptor into a working wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.

2. Battery Backup Installation

The unit requires 1 Lithium Polymer battery (not included) for SureAlarm backup, which maintains alarm settings during a power failure. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit, insert the battery according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment.

3. Initial Time Setting

Upon initial power-up, the clock display may flash. Refer to the 'Setting the Clock' section in the Operating Instructions to set the correct time.

1. Setting the Clock

  1. Press and hold the Clock button until the time display flashes.
  2. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Press the Clock button again to confirm.
  3. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the minute. Press the Clock button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

2. Setting Alarms (Dual Alarms)

The unit features two independent alarms. Follow these steps for each alarm:

  1. Press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button until the alarm time flashes.
  2. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the alarm hour, then press the respective Alarm button to confirm.
  3. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the alarm minute, then press the respective Alarm button to confirm.
  4. Select the alarm source (e.g., tone, Bluetooth) and volume using the + or - buttons, then press the respective Alarm button to confirm.
  5. Choose the alarm schedule (Every Day, Weekdays, Weekends) using the + or - buttons, then press the respective Alarm button to save and exit.

3. Wireless Charging

Place your Qi-compatible device (e.g., iPhone, Samsung, Android smartphone) face up on the wireless charging pad located on the top of the unit. Ensure the device is centered on the pad for optimal charging. A charging indicator will appear on your device's screen.

  • Case Friendly: Charges through most phone cases (up to 2mm).
  • Foreign Object Detection: Prevents charging if metal objects are detected on the pad.
  • Non-Slip Surface: Helps keep your device securely in place.

4. USB Charging

Connect your device's USB charging cable to the 5W USB charging port located on the back of the iBTW23B unit. This port can be used to charge non-wireless charging phones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices, including those with metal cases.

5. Bluetooth Pairing and Audio Streaming

To stream audio wirelessly, enable Bluetooth on your device and search for 'iHome iBTW23B'. Select it to pair. Once paired, you can play music, podcasts, and other audio through the unit's stereo drivers, which deliver rich, detailed sound.

6. Display Dimmer Control

Press the Snooze/Dimmer button repeatedly to cycle through the 7 brightness settings for the clock display, or to turn the display off completely.

7. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large Snooze/Dimmer button to temporarily silence the alarm for a preset duration.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your iHome iBTW23B, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

  • Battery Backup: If the unit is unplugged for an extended period, ensure the Lithium Polymer backup battery is in good condition to maintain time and alarm settings. Replace if necessary.
