3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unfold the Game Board: Place the game board on a flat surface.
  2. Separate Cards: Separate the City Cards and "Here & Now" Cards. Shuffle each deck separately and place them face down on their designated spaces on the board.
  3. Banker Selection: Choose one player to be the Banker. The Banker is responsible for all money transactions, including distributing starting money, handling property sales, and collecting rent. The Banker also plays the game.
  4. Distribute Starting Money: Each player receives a predetermined amount of Monopoly money from the Banker. Refer to the Game Guide for specific starting amounts.
  5. Choose Pawns: Each player selects one iconic city pawn and places it on the "GO" space.
  6. Passport Holders: Each player takes a passport holder and places it in front of them.

4. How to Play

The game proceeds in turns, with players rolling dice and moving their pawns around the board. The primary goal is to acquire cities and fill your passport with stamps.

4.1. Player Turn

  1. Roll the Dice: On your turn, roll both dice and move your pawn clockwise the corresponding number of spaces.
  2. Landing on a Space: The action you take depends on the space you land on:
    • Unowned City: You may buy the city for the price indicated on the board. If you buy it, you receive a City Card and place a stamp in your passport holder for that city. If you choose not to buy it, the Banker immediately auctions it to the highest bidder.
    • Owned City: If you land on a city owned by another player, you must pay them the rent indicated on their City Card. The rent increases as more stamps are collected for that city.
    • "GO" Space: When you pass or land on "GO", collect M200 from the bank.
    • "Here & Now" Space: Draw a "Here & Now" card and follow its instructions. These cards can be beneficial or detrimental.
    • Other Spaces: Follow the instructions on other special spaces (e.g., Free Parking, Go to Jail).
  3. Double Roll: If you roll doubles, take your turn as usual, then roll the dice again for another turn. If you roll doubles three times in a row, you go directly to Jail.
