Setup Guide

1. Physical Placement

Place the camera on a flat surface such as a table, shelf, or mount it on a wall or ceiling using the provided mounting accessories. Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi network.

2. Power Connection

Connect the USB cable to the camera's power port and plug the other end into the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. The camera will automatically power on and begin its initialization sequence.

3. App Installation

Download the Mi Home application from your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS). Alternatively, scan the QR code found in the quick start guide included with your product to directly download the app.

4. Device Pairing

  1. Open the Mi Home app and log in or create a new account.
  2. Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
  3. Select the "Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P" from the list of available devices.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the camera if prompted. This usually involves pressing a reset button on the camera until an indicator light flashes.
  5. Connect your smartphone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
  6. The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone's screen in front of the camera lens (approximately 15-20 cm away) until the camera successfully scans the code. A voice prompt from the camera will confirm successful scanning. Note: Some users have reported difficulty scanning QR codes from OLED screens; if this occurs, try displaying the QR code on an LCD screen or a printed paper.
  7. Once the QR code is scanned, the camera will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Wait for the connection to establish.
  8. After successful connection, you can name your camera and assign it to a specific room within the app.

Operating Instructions

Live View and Control

Once connected, open the Mi Home app and select your camera from the device list to access the live view. You can pan and tilt the camera remotely by swiping on the screen to adjust its viewing angle (360° horizontal and vertical range).

Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the live view interface to enable two-way audio communication. This allows you to speak through the camera and hear audio from the camera's location.

Video Recording and Storage

The camera supports local storage via a MicroSD card (not included). Insert a formatted MicroSD card into the designated slot on the camera. Video recordings can be accessed and reviewed through the Mi Home app. The camera records in MPEG-4 format.

To ensure proper functionality, it is recommended to format the MicroSD card within the camera's settings via the Mi Home app after insertion. Navigate to Camera Settings > Storage Settings > SD Card Features > Format SD Card.

Motion Detection and Alerts

Configure motion detection settings within the Mi Home app. The camera can be set to detect motion only and send alerts to your smartphone. You can adjust sensitivity levels and set specific detection zones to minimize false alarms.

Night Vision

The camera is equipped with advanced night vision technology, including "Night Color" capabilities, to provide clear surveillance even in low-light or complete darkness conditions.

Troubleshooting
