Installation Guide

Step 1: Prepare the Sink

Ensure the sink surface is clean and dry. If replacing an existing faucet, remove it and clean the area thoroughly. Place the hole cover plate (if needed for a 3-hole sink) and the faucet body onto the sink hole.

Step 2: Install Batteries in the Control Box

Open the control box and insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Securely close the battery compartment. The control box should be mounted in a dry, accessible location under the sink, away from potential water splashes.

Step 3: Connect the Mixing Valve

Attach the mixing valve to the control box. Ensure the rubber ring is properly installed at the interface between the battery box and the mixing valve to prevent leaks. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the mixing valve. Do not use white tape or additional rubber rings when connecting the hot and cold water hoses to the mixing valve.

Step 4: Connect Faucet to Control Box

Connect the power cable from the faucet body to the designated port on the control box. Then, connect the water outlet hose from the control box to the threaded pipe extending from the bottom of the faucet body. Secure all connections tightly.

Step 5: Secure the Faucet

From underneath the sink, secure the faucet body and cover plate using the provided mounting hardware (gasket, washer, and nut). Tighten the nut firmly but do not overtighten.

Step 6: Test the Faucet

Turn on the main water supply. Place your hand in front of the sensor window at the base of the faucet to activate water flow. Remove your hand to stop the flow. Check for any leaks around all connections. Adjust the mixing valve to achieve your desired water temperature.

Operating Instructions

The Charmingwater Touchless Faucet operates using an infrared motion sensor located at the base of the spout. To activate water flow, simply place your hands within the sensor's detection range. The water will flow automatically. To stop the water flow, remove your hands from the sensor's range. The water will cease after a brief delay.

Temperature Adjustment

The water temperature is set using the mixing valve located underneath the sink. Once set, the faucet will dispense water at this pre-mixed temperature. There are no external handles on the faucet itself for temperature control.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome finish. Pay special attention to keeping the sensor window clean and free of obstructions.

Battery Replacement

The faucet is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries in the control box. Battery life is typically 6-8 months. When the water flow becomes weak or inconsistent, it may be time to replace the batteries. To replace, turn off the water supply, open the control box, replace all four batteries with new alkaline batteries, and then close the box securely. Turn the water supply back on.
