1. Introduction

The CamKix Camera Shutter Remote Control is a compact and convenient wireless solution designed for taking photos and recording videos with your smartphone or tablet. Utilizing Bluetooth wireless technology, it allows you to capture moments from a distance, eliminating camera shake and making group shots or selfies easier.

This remote control is compatible with all phones and tablets operating on iOS (6.0 and up) or Android (4.2.2 and up).

3. Setup

3.1. Powering On

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the remote control. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position. A blue LED indicator light will flash, indicating that the remote is powered on and ready for pairing.

3.2. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the remote control is powered on.
2. On your smartphone or tablet, go to your device's Bluetooth settings.
3. Turn on Bluetooth. Your device will begin searching for available Bluetooth devices.
4. Look for 'CamKix Shutter' or 'AB Shutter 3' in the list of available devices and select it to pair.
5. Once successfully paired, the blue LED indicator on the remote will stop flashing and remain solid, or turn off, depending on the model. Your device's Bluetooth settings will show the remote as 'Connected'.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Taking Photos

1. Ensure your CamKix remote control is paired with your smartphone or tablet.
2. Open your device's native camera application.
3. Position your device as desired for the photo.
4. Press the large button on the CamKix remote control to trigger the camera shutter. The photo will be saved to your device's gallery.

4.2. Recording Videos

1. Ensure your CamKix remote control is paired with your smartphone or tablet.
2. Open your device's native camera application and switch to video recording mode.
3. Position your device as desired for the video.
4. Press the large button on the CamKix remote control once to start video recording.
5. Press the large button again to stop video recording. The video will be saved to your device's gallery.

The remote can control your camera shutter wirelessly from a distance of up to 30 feet (10 meters).

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

The CamKix remote control uses one Lithium Metal battery (included). If the LED indicator does not light up or the remote fails to connect, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the battery compartment on the back of the remote for instructions on how to open and replace the battery.
