1. Introduction

The Shop Japan FN002281 Shark Steam Mop Basic is designed to revolutionize floor cleaning with its high-temperature dry steam, exceeding 100°C. This powerful steam lifts dirt and grime, allowing for easy wiping and sanitization. It's simple, powerful, and speedy, requiring only tap water – no buckets, rags, or detergents needed. Weighing approximately 1.4kg, it's lightweight and easy to handle, even with one hand.

2. Important Safety Instructions

• Always read all instructions before use. Use only as directed in this manual.
• Keep the appliance away from children and pets.
• Do not direct steam at people, animals, or electrical appliances.
• Use only tap water; do not add cleaning solutions, perfumes, or other chemicals to the water tank.
• Ensure the appliance is unplugged before filling or emptying the water tank, or performing any maintenance.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in or operating.
• Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing.

4. Setup

4.1 Assembly

1. Assemble the Handle: Connect the handle sections firmly until they click into place.
2. Attach the Mop Head: Securely attach the mop head to the main unit.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

3. Fill the Water Tank: Open the water tank cap. Use the provided measuring cup to fill the water tank with tap water. Do not overfill. Close the cap securely.

4. Attach Microfiber Pad: Securely attach a dedicated microfiber pad to the mop head.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
2. Heat Up: The steam mop will begin to heat up. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the steam to be ready. The indicator light will signal when it's ready for use.

3. Start Cleaning: Gently glide the mop head over the floor surface. The high-temperature steam will loosen dirt and grime, which the microfiber pad will then absorb.

4. Carpet Cleaning: For carpets and rugs, attach the dedicated carpet glider over the microfiber pad before use.
5. Continuous Use: The flow heater system allows for continuous use by refilling the water tank as needed.

6. Maintenance

1. Unplug and Cool Down: Always unplug the steam mop and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
2. Clean Microfiber Pads: Remove the microfiber pads after each use and wash them according to their care instructions (typically machine washable).

7. Troubleshooting

No Steam

• Check if the unit is properly plugged in.
• Ensure the water tank is filled with water.
• Allow sufficient time for the unit to heat up (approx. 30 seconds).
• Check if the power button is pressed.

Water Leaking

• Ensure the water tank cap is securely closed.
• Do not overfill the water tank.
• Ensure all connections (handle, mop head) are secure.
