- Connect the 110-240V AC power input to the power supply unit within the box.
- Connect the access control board to the power supply unit.
- Wire the door lock, card reader(s), and exit button to the appropriate terminals on the control board. Refer to the detailed wire diagram provided on the CD Disk for specific connections.
- Connect the control board to your network via the TCP/IP port.
For detailed wiring instructions, consult the wire diagram and video guide included on the software CD. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized to prevent damage.
5. Operating Instructions
Once the system is installed and configured, it can be operated through various methods:
5.1. Card/Key Fob Access
Users with registered cards or key fobs can gain entry by swiping their credential at the installed card reader. To exit, use the designated exit button or swipe the card/key fob at an exit reader (if installed).
5.2. Software Management
The Windows-based management software provides comprehensive control over the system:
- User Enrollment: Add new users and assign them unique access credentials (cards/key fobs).
- Access Permissions: Configure access rights for individual users or groups, specifying which doors they can access and during what time periods.
- Time Schedules: Set up daily or weekly schedules for automatic door unlocking/locking, or for specific access restrictions.
- Event Monitoring: View and export detailed entry and exit records, including user ID, door, and timestamp.
- Lost Credential Management: Deactivate lost or stolen cards/key fobs to maintain security.
5.3. Remote Access (Phone App)
The system supports a phone application for remote door control. Install the app on your smartphone and configure it to connect to your access control system. This allows for local or remote unlocking of the door.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your access control system:
- Software Updates: Periodically check for and install any available software updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Data Backup: Regularly back up your user data and access logs from the management software.
- Physical Inspection: Inspect wiring and connections for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the power supply box is securely closed and free from environmental hazards.
- Credential Management: Periodically review user access rights and deactivate credentials for former employees or unauthorized individuals.
