4. Setup
4.1 Binding Procedure
- Ensure your transmitter is powered off.
- Connect the included bind plug to the 'BATT/BIND' port on the R615X receiver.
- Apply power to the receiver (3.7V to 9.6V). The receiver's LED should flash rapidly, indicating it is in bind mode.
- While holding the bind button/switch on your transmitter, power on the transmitter.
- The receiver's LED should turn solid, indicating a successful bind.
- Remove the bind plug from the receiver.
- Power cycle both the transmitter and receiver to confirm the bind.

4.2 Connecting Servos and CPPM Devices
The R615X receiver features standard servo ports for channels 1-6 and a dedicated CPPM output. Connect your servos to the corresponding channel ports (THRO, AILE, ELEV, RUDD, GEAR, AUX1). For CPPM compatible flight controllers or devices, use the CPPM output for a single-line connection, simplifying wiring.

4.3 Antenna Placement
The receiver features two 25mm antennae. For optimal signal reception, ensure the antennae are mounted at 90-degree angles to each other and are kept away from carbon fiber or large metal objects that could shield the signal. Avoid bending the last 1/4 inch of the antenna tip, as this is the active receiving element.
5. Operating
Once successfully bound and connected, the OrangeRx R615X receiver will establish a stable link with your DSM2/DSMX compatible transmitter. Ensure all control surfaces respond correctly to transmitter inputs before flight. Always perform a range check according to your transmitter's manual to verify signal integrity at a distance.
6. Maintenance
The OrangeRx R615X receiver requires minimal maintenance. Keep the receiver clean and free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Regularly inspect the antenna wires for any damage or kinks. If the receiver casing is damaged, consider replacing it to protect the internal components.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Receiver Not Binding
- Ensure the bind plug is fully inserted into the 'BATT/BIND' port.
- Verify the receiver is receiving adequate power (3.7V-9.6V).
- Confirm your transmitter is in bind mode and is DSM2/DSMX compatible.
- Try moving the transmitter closer to the receiver during the binding process.
7.2 No Control Response
- Check if the receiver LED is solid, indicating a successful link. If flashing, re-bind the receiver.
- Verify all servo and CPPM connections are secure and correctly oriented.
- Ensure the transmitter is powered on and selected to the correct model memory.
- Check for any interference sources near the model or transmitter.
7.3 Short Range
- Inspect antenna wires for damage or improper routing.
- Ensure antennae are positioned correctly (90-degree separation, away from conductive materials).
- Perform a thorough range check.
