3. Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before proceeding.
3.1 Mounting the Fan
- Secure the mounting bracket to a suitable ceiling joist or outlet box. The mounting surface must be able to support the fan's weight.
- Attach the 6-inch downrod to the fan motor assembly.
- Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it from the mounting bracket.
3.2 Electrical Connections
- Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the provided wiring diagram in the separate detailed instruction sheet.
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
3.3 Attaching Blades and Light Kit
- Attach the five molded ABS blades to the motor housing using the provided screws.
- Install the frosted glass diffuser and secure the integrated LED module.

4. Operation
Your Casa Vieja Wind and Sea ceiling fan is operated using the included hand-held remote control.
4.1 Remote Control Functions
- Fan Speed: Buttons for High (HI), Medium (MED), and Low (LOW) control the fan's three speeds.
- Fan Off: The OFF button turns the fan off.
- Light Control: The LIGHT button turns the integrated LED light on or off. To dim the light, press and hold the LIGHT button until the desired brightness is achieved.
- Reverse Switch: A manual reverse switch is located on the fan's motor housing (see image below). This switch allows you to change the direction of the fan blades for seasonal comfort.

4.2 Seasonal Operation
- Summer Operation: Set the fan to rotate counter-clockwise to create a downward airflow, producing a cooling effect.
- Winter Operation: Set the fan to rotate clockwise to create an upward airflow, circulating warm air trapped near the ceiling.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ceiling fan.
5.1 Cleaning
- Always turn off the power at the circuit breaker before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan blades and motor housing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- The LED light module is integrated and does not require bulb replacement. Clean the glass diffuser with a soft, lint-free cloth.
5.2 Annual Inspection
- Check all screws on the motor housing and blade attachments annually to ensure they are tight.
- Ensure the downrod is securely fastened.
