4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Remove any protective film or stickers from the soleplate. Keep packaging materials away from children.

4.2 First Use

During the first use, a slight odor or light smoke may occur as manufacturing residues burn off. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
  2. Open the water tank cover.
  3. Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
  4. Close the water tank cover securely.

Note: For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, distilled or demineralized water is recommended, especially in areas with hard water.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Before Ironing

  • Always check the garment's care label for ironing instructions.
  • Sort clothes according to fabric type and recommended ironing temperature. Begin with fabrics requiring lower temperatures.

5.2 Temperature Control

The temperature control dial allows you to select the appropriate heat setting for different fabrics. Refer to the markings on the dial and your garment's care label.

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired fabric setting. The indicator light will illuminate, showing the iron is heating.
  3. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, indicating the iron has reached the selected temperature.

5.3 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the steam function is turned off (if applicable) and the water tank is empty or not used. Follow the temperature control steps above.

5.4 Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is effective for removing wrinkles from most fabrics. Ensure the water tank is filled.

  1. Follow steps 1-3 under 'Temperature Control', selecting a setting suitable for steam (usually higher temperatures like Cotton or Linen).
  2. Once the iron reaches temperature, press the steam button to release steam as you iron.
  3. Move the iron smoothly over the fabric.

5.5 Spray Function

The spray function provides a fine mist of water to help dampen stubborn wrinkles.

  • Ensure the water tank is filled.
  • Point the spray nozzle towards the fabric and press the spray button.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your iron.

6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

  • After the iron has cooled completely, wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive scouring pads or metal cleaners, as these can scratch the non-stick surface.

6.2 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the iron with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.3 Emptying the Water Tank

After each use, or before storing, ensure the water tank is emptied to prevent mineral buildup and leakage.

  1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Open the water tank cover and invert the iron over a sink to drain any remaining water.
  3. Close the water tank cover.

6.4 Storage

Store the cooled iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place, away from children.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your iron, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Water leaks from soleplate.Water tank overfilled; temperature too low for steam; iron left horizontal when hot.Do not overfill water tank; ensure temperature is set to a steam-appropriate level (e.g., Cotton, Linen); always store iron upright on its heel rest.
No steam or insufficient steam.Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam vents clogged.Fill water tank; set temperature to a higher setting; clean steam vents if necessary (refer to maintenance).
Iron sticks to fabric.Temperature too high for fabric type; soleplate is dirty.Adjust temperature to match fabric care label; clean the soleplate as per maintenance instructions.
