Decalcification

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffeemaker and affect its performance. The frequency of decalcification depends on the hardness of your water and how often you use the coffeemaker.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water.
  2. Place the carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button to start a brew cycle.
  4. After approximately 20 seconds, turn the coffeemaker OFF.
  5. Let the mixture soak for 30 minutes.
  6. Turn the coffeemaker ON again and let the cycle complete.
  7. Once the cycle is finished, discard the mixture.
  8. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.

Replace the charcoal water filter every 60 days or after 60 uses, whichever comes first. Refer to the "Setup" section for installation instructions.
