Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the machine for any damage. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. First Use Cleaning
Before first use, clean all removable parts (portafilter, carafe, drip tray) with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Run at least two full cycles of water through the machine without coffee to rinse the internal components.
3. Filling the Water Tank
Remove the water tank cover. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level indicator. Replace the water tank cover securely.
Operating Instructions
1. Making Espresso
- Prepare the Portafilter: Place the filter basket into the portafilter. Add desired amount of finely ground espresso coffee into the filter basket. Do not overfill. Tamp the coffee grounds lightly and wipe any excess grounds from the rim.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine. Insert the portafilter and turn it firmly to the right until it is securely locked into place. The 'LOCK' indicator should align.
- Place Carafe: Position the glass carafe under the portafilter's spouts.
- Brew Espresso: Turn the switch knob to the 'Brew' position. The machine will begin to dispense espresso into the carafe. Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed, turn the switch knob back to the 'OFF' position.
- Remove Portafilter: Carefully turn the portafilter to the left to unlock and remove it. Discard used coffee grounds.

2. Steaming Milk
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Activate Steam: Turn the switch knob to the 'Steam' position. Wait for the indicator light to show the machine has reached steaming temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water from the wand. Close the valve.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve slowly. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam. Once desired texture and temperature are reached, close the steam valve and remove the pitcher.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any milk from inside the wand.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- Empty and clean the drip tray and grid after each use.
- Wash the portafilter and filter basket with warm soapy water.
- Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
- Ensure the steam wand is thoroughly cleaned after each use to prevent blockages.
Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. Use a commercial descaling solution designed for coffee machines and follow the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) can be used, followed by several rinse cycles with plain water.
