Introduction

The Fisher-Price Dance & Groove Rockit is an interactive musical learning toy designed to engage babies and toddlers. Featuring characters Rockit and Glow, this toy offers lights, music, and educational phrases to teach the alphabet, counting, shapes, colors, and Spanish words. With three Smart Stages levels of play, it adapts to your child's developmental stage, providing continuous learning and fun.

Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the toy.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). (Batteries are included).
4. Replace the cover and tighten the screw.

Power On/Off and Volume Control

The power switch and volume control are typically located on the back or side of the toy. Slide the switch to turn the toy on or off, and select your preferred volume level.

Operating Instructions

The Dance & Groove Rockit offers various interactive modes and activities:

1. Smart Stages Selection: Locate the Smart Stages switch (usually numbered 1, 2, 3) on the toy. Slide the switch to select the appropriate learning level for your child's age and development.
2. Interactive Play with Glow: Push down on the Glow character (the smaller light-up buddy) to activate exciting songs, music, and colorful lights.
3. Rocking Motion: Gently rock the main Rockit toy to encourage your baby to move and groove along with the music and lights.
4. Record & Remix Feature: Give Rockit a high-five on the hand with the microphone icon. Say something, and Rockit will record your voice and play it back in three silly voices.
5. Hands-on Activities: Explore the various tactile activities on Rockit's belly, including the 1-2-3 bat-at roller, the slide shapes door, and the ABC toggle switch. Each interaction triggers different sounds, phrases, and lights.
6. Character Interaction: Observe and encourage your child to interact with both Rockit and Glow, as they respond to each other and your child's actions with lights, music, and phrases.

Troubleshooting

• Toy not turning on: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh batteries if necessary.
• Sound issues (too low/high, distorted): Adjust the volume switch. If the issue persists, replace batteries.
• Intermittent function: Check battery connections. If the toy still malfunctions, try replacing the batteries.
• Recording feature not working: Ensure you are giving a clear high-five to the correct hand with the microphone icon. Speak clearly and close to the microphone.
