4. Installation Instructions

Professional installation is recommended for optimal safety and performance.

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker that supplies power to the light fixture outlet box. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker. Verify the power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare Mounting Location: Remove the existing fixture from the ceiling outlet box. Ensure the outlet box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the fixture's weight (approximately 14.3 lbs).
  3. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the provided mounting plate (crossbar) to the outlet box using the outlet box screws. Ensure the plate is firmly attached.
  4. Wire the Fixture: Carefully connect the fixture's wires to the electrical supply wires from the outlet box.
    • Connect the black fixture wire to the black (hot) supply wire.
    • Connect the white fixture wire to the white (neutral) supply wire.
    • Connect the ground fixture wire (bare copper or green) to the ground supply wire (bare copper or green) and to the ground screw on the mounting plate.
    Secure all connections with wire nuts and wrap them with electrical tape for added safety.
  5. Secure the Fixture: Carefully lift the fixture body and align it with the mounting plate. Secure the fixture to the mounting plate using the provided screws. Ensure the fixture is flush against the ceiling and stable.
  6. Install Glass Shades: Attach each of the 8 glass shades/crystal elements to their designated positions on the fixture body. Follow the specific design of the fixture for proper placement.
  7. Install Bulbs: Insert 8 G4 Bi-Pin bulbs (maximum 1.2 watts each) into the sockets. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions

The Maxim Lighting Cluster 8-Light Fixture operates via a standard wall switch (not included). Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.

6. Maintenance
