Figure 4.3: A smartphone charging wirelessly on the clock's top surface.

  • Ensure the clock is powered by the USB cable and AC adapter. Wireless charging does not function when the clock is running on battery power.
  • Place your Qi-compatible smartphone centrally on the charging pad located on the top surface of the clock.
  • The phone should begin charging automatically. If not, adjust the phone's position slightly.
  • For optimal charging, remove any phone cases with support rings or thick materials that may interfere with the wireless connection.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: If using AAA batteries for backup, replace all four batteries simultaneously when they are depleted.
  • Storage: If storing the clock for an extended period, remove the AAA batteries to prevent leakage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Clock not turning on: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the clock and the power adapter, and the adapter is plugged into a working outlet. If using batteries, check their charge and polarity.
  • Wireless charging not working: Verify the clock is powered by the USB cable (not just batteries). Ensure your phone is Qi-compatible and placed centrally on the charging pad. Remove any thick cases or metal objects from the phone.
  • Display is off: Check if the sound control function is enabled ('ON:Sd'). If so, make a sound (e.g., clap) to activate the display. If not, ensure the clock is powered.
  • Time inaccuracy: If the clock loses time frequently, try performing a factory reset by pressing the small reset button on the back with a pointed object. Then, reset the time and date. Ensure a stable power supply.
  • Temperature reading seems incorrect: The internal temperature sensor may be affected by heat generated during wireless charging or by external factors. Ensure the clock is in a well-ventilated area.
  • Buttons unresponsive: Try unplugging the clock for a few seconds and plugging it back in, or perform a factory reset.
