4. Setup

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the handle of the thermometer.
  2. Use the finger indents to pull open the battery door.
  3. Insert one 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 HOLDPEAK 981C Infrared Thermometer Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the trigger to turn on the device. It will automatically power off after a period of inactivity.
  2. Measurement: Aim the thermometer at the target surface and press the trigger. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD. The laser pointer can be toggled using the "UP" button.
  3. Unit Selection (°C/°F): Press the °C/°F button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  4. Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through various measurement modes:

5.2 HOLDPEAK 866B Digital Anemometer Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the red POWER button to turn the device on or off.
  2. Wind Speed Measurement: Hold the anemometer so that the wind flows through the impeller. The wind speed will be displayed on the LCD.
  3. Unit Selection: Press the UNIT button to cycle through wind speed units: m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph.
  4. Temperature Unit Selection: Press the °F/°C button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius for temperature readings.
