1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your PHASAK SIRIUS PH 7322 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The SIRIUS Interactive series offers reliable protection against power variations and spikes, ensuring stable and clean energy for connected equipment. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and safety.
2. Safety Instructions
Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the UPS or connected equipment:
- Do not open the UPS casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Do not connect appliances that could overload the UPS, such as laser printers, to battery-backed outlets (use surge-only outlets for these).
- Ensure the UPS is placed in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
- Connect the UPS to a grounded AC power outlet only.
- In case of emergency, press the power button to turn off the UPS and disconnect it from the AC power source.
- The UPS contains internal batteries. Do not dispose of the UPS or its batteries in fire. Batteries may explode.
3. Product Features
The PHASAK SIRIUS PH 7322 UPS is equipped with several features designed for optimal performance and protection:
- LCD / LED function display for real-time status monitoring.
- Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) to stabilize input voltage without using battery power.
- Auto restart/auto-reload function for convenience after power restoration.
- Compatibility with generators for flexible power input.
- Communication: 1 x USB port for connection to a computer.
- Outlets: 3 x Schuko outlets with battery backup and surge protection, and 1 x Schuko outlet with surge protection only.
4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully unpack the UPS and inspect it for any shipping damage.
- Place the UPS on a flat, stable surface in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated environment. Avoid areas with excessive dust, humidity, or extreme temperatures.
- Ensure there is adequate clearance around the UPS for proper airflow, especially around ventilation openings.
4.2 Connecting the UPS
Refer to the rear panel diagram for outlet identification.

Figure 1: Rear Panel Connections. This image displays the back of the PHASAK SIRIUS PH 7322 UPS, highlighting the four Schuko outlets (three with surge and battery backup, one with surge protection only), the USB communication port, and the circuit breaker button.
- Connect to AC Power: Plug the UPS power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
- Connect Equipment:
- Connect critical equipment (e.g., computers, monitors, network devices) to the Surge & Battery outlets (typically 3 outlets). These outlets provide both surge protection and battery backup during power outages.
- Connect non-critical equipment that requires only surge protection (e.g., laser printers, scanners) to the Surge Only outlet (typically 1 outlet).
- USB Communication: Connect the provided USB cable from the UPS USB port to your computer. Install the PowerGuide management software (available from Phasak's website) to enable advanced monitoring and shutdown features.
Allow the UPS to charge for at least 8 hours before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.
5. Operation
5.1 Powering On/Off

Figure 2: Front Panel Display and Controls. This image shows the front of the PHASAK SIRIUS PH 7322 UPS, featuring the LCD display that shows input/output voltage and status icons, and the main power button.
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the front panel for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a beep and the display illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a beep and the display turns off.
5.2 LCD Display Information
The LCD display provides real-time status information about the UPS:
- Input Voltage: Displays the current voltage from the utility power.
- Output Voltage: Displays the voltage supplied by the UPS to connected equipment.
- Battery Level: Indicates the remaining battery charge.
- Load Level: Shows the percentage of the UPS's capacity being used by connected equipment.
- Status Icons: Various icons indicate operational mode (e.g., AC mode, battery mode, AVR active, fault). Refer to the full software manual for detailed icon explanations.
5.3 Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
The UPS automatically corrects minor voltage fluctuations (sags and surges) without switching to battery power, extending battery life and providing stable power to your devices.
5.4 Battery Mode
During a power outage, the UPS will automatically switch to battery power. An audible alarm will sound, and the display will indicate battery mode. The alarm will typically sound more frequently as the battery level becomes critically low, signaling that connected equipment should be safely shut down.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the exterior of the UPS. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Battery Care: To maintain optimal battery life, ensure the UPS is connected to AC power at all times. If the UPS is stored for an extended period, recharge it every 3 months for at least 8 hours.
- Battery Replacement: Batteries are not user-replaceable. Contact qualified service personnel for battery replacement.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| UPS does not turn on. | No AC input power; Low battery; UPS fault. | Ensure UPS is plugged into a live AC outlet. Allow UPS to charge for several hours. If problem persists, contact support. |
| UPS beeps continuously in AC mode. | Overload; Internal fault. | Reduce the load by disconnecting non-essential equipment. If problem persists, contact support. |
| UPS switches to battery mode frequently. | Unstable AC input power; AVR working. | This may be normal if AC power is fluctuating. If it happens excessively, check the AC power source or contact an electrician. |
| Connected equipment loses power during outage. | Equipment connected to surge-only outlet; Battery depleted; UPS overloaded. | Ensure critical equipment is connected to battery-backed outlets. Allow battery to charge. Reduce load. |
