- Pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the second click position.
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Push the crown back into its normal position to start the watch.
2. Setting the Date and Day
- Pull the crown out to the first click position.
- Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date.
- Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the day of the week.
- Once the correct date and day are set, push the crown back into its normal position.
Note: Avoid setting the date and day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
3. Strap Adjustment
The watch features a buckle closure on a leather strap. Adjust the strap by selecting the appropriate hole for a comfortable and secure fit on your wrist. Ensure the strap is not too tight to allow for proper circulation, nor too loose to prevent the watch from moving excessively.
Operating
Basic Timekeeping
Once the time is set, the watch will continuously display the current time. The quartz movement ensures accurate timekeeping.
Sub-dial Functions
- 24-Hour Sub-dial: This sub-dial indicates the time in a 24-hour format, useful for distinguishing AM/PM.
- Day of the Week Sub-dial: This sub-dial displays the current day of the week (e.g., MO, TU, WE).
- Date Sub-dial: This sub-dial shows the current date.
Water Resistance (50 Meters / 5 ATM)
This watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, showering, or washing hands. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
- Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the leather strap, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and hygiene of your watch.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a product-specific battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to skip, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance. Attempting to replace the battery yourself may void the warranty and compromise the watch's integrity.
Strap Care
The black calfskin strap is durable but requires care. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture, which can cause the leather to dry out, crack, or discolor. If the strap becomes wet, dry it gently with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
Water Resistance Care
To maintain the water resistance of your watch, ensure the crown is always fully pushed in. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals. If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it gently with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement. Contact a professional watch technician.
- Incorrect Time/Date: Refer to the "Setting the Time" and "Setting the Date and Day" sections in this manual to reset.
- Condensation Inside Crystal: This indicates a potential breach in the watch's water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified technician for inspection and repair to prevent further damage to the movement.
- Strap Discomfort: Ensure the strap is adjusted correctly. If irritation occurs, clean the strap and your wrist, and consider consulting a dermatologist if symptoms persist.
