2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage:

• Electrical Safety: Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician or competent person in accordance with local wiring regulations and standards.
• Power Disconnection: Always disconnect the main power supply at the fuse box or circuit breaker before commencing any installation, maintenance, or bulb replacement.
• Bulb Type: Use only E27 bulbs with a maximum wattage of 40W. Do not exceed the specified wattage. LED bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency.
• IP44 Rating: This product is rated IP44, meaning it is protected against solid objects over 1mm and splashing water from any direction. Ensure all seals and covers are correctly fitted after installation to maintain this protection.
• Handling: Handle the product with care. Do not drop or subject it to strong impacts.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully for safe and correct installation:

1. Preparation: Choose a suitable mounting location on an exterior wall. Ensure the surface is flat and capable of supporting the fixture's weight.
2. Disconnect Power: Before starting, turn off the electricity supply to the circuit at the main fuse box or circuit breaker. Verify that the power is off using a voltage tester.
3. Mark Drilling Points: Remove the mounting base from the light fixture. Hold the base against the wall at the desired installation height and mark the drilling points using a pencil.
4. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your wall material. Insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes.
5. Mount Base: Secure the mounting base to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
6. Connect Wiring: Connect the electrical wires from your mains supply to the terminal block inside the fixture. Ensure correct connections: Live (L), Neutral (N), and Earth (⊕). Double-check all connections are secure.
7. Install Bulb: Screw an E27 bulb (max 40W) into the lamp holder.
8. Secure Fixture: Carefully attach the main body of the light fixture to the mounted base, ensuring all wires are tucked away and not pinched. Secure it with the screws or clips provided. Ensure the IP44 seal is properly seated.
9. Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely installed and all connections are checked, restore the electricity supply at the main fuse box or circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

The Lindby Outdoor Wall Light is designed for simple operation. Once installed and connected to the mains power supply, it can be controlled by a standard wall switch or an external timer/sensor connected to the same circuit.

• Turning On/Off: Use the connected wall switch to turn the light on or off.
• Automatic Operation: If connected to a dusk-to-dawn sensor or timer (not included), the light will operate automatically according to the sensor's or timer's settings.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your Lindby Outdoor Wall Light:

• Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the stainless steel finish or polycarbonate diffuser.
• Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power before replacing the bulb. Allow the old bulb to cool down completely before unscrewing it. Insert the new E27 bulb (max 40W) carefully.
