Troubleshooting
If your heater is not operating correctly, consult the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater does not turn on. | No power to the unit. Tip Over Protection activated. Overheat Protection activated. | Check if the heater is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the heater is on a stable, level surface. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes, then plug it back in. Clear any obstructions around the heater. |
| Heater produces no heat. | Fan Only mode selected. Thermostat set too low. | Rotate the Fan/Heat Setting knob to LO or HI. Adjust the Thermostat Adjustment knob to a higher setting (towards MAX). |
| Heater cycles on and off frequently. | Thermostat setting is too close to the current room temperature. | Adjust the Thermostat Adjustment knob to a slightly higher or lower setting to find a stable operating point. |
| Unusual odor during operation. | New unit burning off manufacturing residues. Dust accumulation on heating elements. | This is normal for initial use and should dissipate. Unplug the heater and clean the air intake/exhaust grilles as described in the Maintenance section. |
