Setup and Installation

Installing the Stay-in-Car Base

1. Position the base on the vehicle seat.
2. Extend the LATCH connectors from the base.
3. Attach the LATCH connectors to the vehicle's lower anchors. Ensure both sides click securely into place.
4. Press down firmly on the base while tightening the LATCH strap to remove any slack. The base should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
5. Verify the recline angle indicator on the base is within the acceptable range for your infant's weight. Adjust the recline foot if necessary.

Securing the Infant Car Seat to the Base

1. Align the car seat with the base.
2. Lower the car seat onto the base until you hear an audible click, indicating it is securely latched.
3. Gently pull up on the car seat to confirm it is firmly attached to the base.

Operating Instructions

Placing Your Infant in the Car Seat

1. Unbuckle the 5-point harness and loosen the shoulder straps.
2. Place your infant in the car seat, ensuring their back is flat against the seat back.
3. Bring the harness straps over the infant's shoulders and between their legs.
4. Connect the buckle tongues into the buckle receiver until you hear a click.
5. Tighten the harness straps until they are snug against your infant's body. You should not be able to pinch any slack at the shoulder.
6. Position the chest clip at armpit level.

Adjusting the Canopy

The multi-position sun canopy can be adjusted to provide maximum shade. Simply pull the canopy forward or push it back to the desired position. The flip-out visor offers additional protection from bright lights.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Fabric

The Mico 30's seat fabrics are designed for easy removal and cleaning. To remove, unclip the fabric from the seat frame. No rethreading of harnesses is required. The fabrics are machine washable and dryer safe. Refer to the care tag on the fabric for specific washing instructions.

Cleaning the Frame and Harness

• Wipe the car seat frame and plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
• Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly or use.
