Setup and Installation
This tub filler requires a 5-hole installation and is designed for floor mounting. Professional installation is recommended.
- Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure the floor is properly prepared for a freestanding, floor-mounted fixture. Verify that the necessary plumbing rough-ins for hot and cold water supply lines are correctly positioned.
- Water Supply Lines: Connect two ¾” supply lines (sold separately) to the designated hot and cold water inlets on the tub filler base. Ensure these connections are tight and leak-free.
- Mounting: Secure the tub filler to the floor using the provided superior mounting posts and hardware. Refer to the detailed dimension diagram for precise hole placement and spacing.
- Handshower Connection: Connect the handshower hose to the diverter outlet on the main body of the tub filler.
- Test for Leaks: Once all connections are made and the unit is securely mounted, slowly turn on the main water supply and check for any leaks at all connection points.

Operating Instructions

Figure 3: Pfister LG61TFY tub filler with labels indicating the hot water handle, cold water handle, and handshower diverter lever.
- Turning On/Off: Rotate the hot (left) and cold (right) handles to control water flow and temperature. Turning them clockwise typically reduces flow or turns off, while counter-clockwise increases flow.
- Adjusting Temperature: Mix hot and cold water by adjusting both handles until the desired temperature is achieved.
- Using the Handshower: To divert water from the main spout to the handshower, lift or pull the handshower lever (as indicated in Figure 3). Push or lower the lever to return water flow to the main spout.
- Flow Rate: The main tub filler spout provides a flow rate of 9 Gallons Per Minute (GPM), while the handshower provides 1.8 GPM.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Finish: Clean the Tuscan Bronze finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or polishes that could damage the surface. Mild soap and water are generally sufficient.
- Aerator Maintenance: If water flow from the spout or handshower decreases, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator, rinse it under running water to remove debris, and reattach.
- Leak Prevention: Periodically check all connections for tightness to prevent leaks. Do not overtighten.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Clogged aerator; partially closed supply valve. | Clean aerator; ensure supply valves are fully open. |
| Leaks at Connections | Loose connections; damaged O-rings/gaskets. | Tighten connections (do not overtighten); replace O-rings/gaskets if damaged. |
| Water Not Diverting to Handshower | Diverter lever not fully engaged; debris in diverter mechanism. | Ensure lever is fully actuated; inspect diverter for obstructions. |
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact Pfister customer support.
