5. Setup

5.1. Initial Connection

1. Place the UD-505-B on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

3. Connect your digital audio source (e.g., computer via USB, CD player via optical/coaxial) to the corresponding input on the rear panel.
4. Connect the analog outputs (RCA or XLR) of the UD-505-B to your amplifier or powered speakers.
5. Insert the 2 AAA batteries into the remote control, observing polarity.
6. Connect the supplied power cord to the AC inlet on the rear panel and then to a wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

1. Flip the POWER switch on the front panel to the ON position. The display will illuminate.
2. To power off, flip the POWER switch to the OFF position.

6.2. Selecting Input Source

Rotate the INPUT knob on the front panel to cycle through available input sources (USB, OPT/COAX IN). The selected input will be shown on the display.

6.3. Adjusting Volume

Rotate the large VOLUME knob on the right side of the front panel clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume. Adjust to a comfortable listening level.

6.4. Using Headphones

Connect your headphones to one of the three headphone jacks on the front panel (6.3mm L/R or 4.4mm balanced). The headphone output volume is controlled by the main VOLUME knob.

6.5. Menu Settings

Press the MENU button to access various settings such as digital filter types, output modes, and display brightness. Use the INPUT knob to navigate and PUSH ENTER to select options.
