Setup and Installation
The Lasko M16900 wall mount fan is designed for simple assembly and installation. Follow these steps to securely mount your fan.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly.
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, preferably near a wall stud for secure mounting. Ensure the location allows for proper air circulation and access to a power outlet.
- Mounting Bracket: Fasten the mounting bracket securely to the wall using the supplied screws. It is recommended to screw into a wall stud for maximum stability.
- Attach Fan: Once the bracket is secure, slide the fan unit onto the mounting bracket. Ensure it clicks into place or is firmly seated.
- Connect Power: Plug the 5 ft. electric cord directly into a standard wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords.

Operating Instructions
The Lasko M16900 fan features simple controls for adjusting speed and oscillation.

- Power On/Off: The fan can be turned on or off using the pull cord located at the bottom of the control panel. Pull the cord once to turn on, and again to cycle through speeds or turn off.
- Speed Selection: Use the rotary dial on the control panel to select one of the three available speeds (1, 2, or 3). The pull cord can also cycle through these speeds.
- Oscillation: To activate or deactivate the oscillation feature, locate the lever on top of the fan head. Push it down to enable oscillation, and pull it up to stop the fan in a fixed position.
- Adjusting Tilt: The fan head can be tilted up or down to direct airflow as desired. Gently adjust the fan head to the desired angle.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Lasko M16900 fan.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the exterior surfaces. For the fan blades and interior, the front grille can be removed for easier access. Refer to the assembly instructions for grille removal.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to cover the fan to protect it from dust.
- No Lubrication: The fan motor is permanently lubricated and requires no further lubrication.
Troubleshooting
If your fan is not operating as expected, consult the following common issues and solutions:
