4. Setup and Assembly
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
- Clean: Before first use, wash all removable parts (prep bowl, blades, food pusher, lid assembly) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The motor base should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Assemble Prep Bowl: Place the clear prep bowl onto the motor base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Insert Blade: Select the desired spiralizer blade (spaghetti or fettuccine) and carefully place it into the designated slot in the food chute. Ensure it is securely in place.
- Attach Lid: Place the lid assembly, with the food chute and blade, onto the motor base. Twist or push down until it clicks securely into place. The appliance will not operate unless the lid is properly secured.
- Position Food Pusher: Insert the food pusher into the top of the food chute.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to spiralize your vegetables:
- Prepare Vegetables: Wash and peel vegetables if necessary. Cut vegetables to fit the food chute. For best results, use firm, fresh vegetables. Trim ends flat for stable placement.
- Place Vegetable: Carefully place the prepared vegetable into the food chute, ensuring it rests on the center of the blade.
- Start Spiralizing: Press the On/Off switch to the "On" position.
- Apply Pressure: Gently guide the food pusher down, applying light and even pressure to push the vegetable through the blade. Avoid excessive force, as this can lead to mushy results or strain the motor. The spiralized noodles will collect in the prep bowl below.
- Continue: Continue until the entire vegetable has been spiralized or until you have the desired amount.
- Stop: Once finished, press the On/Off switch to the "Off" position and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
Tips for Best Results:
- For softer vegetables like zucchini, use gentle pressure to prevent mushing.
- Harder vegetables like carrots or sweet potatoes may require slightly more consistent pressure.
- Ensure vegetables are cut straight and centered for even spirals.
- Do not overload the chute. Process vegetables one at a time.
