3. Setup
3.1 Power Up
- Insert 2 new AA batteries (not included) into the wireless outdoor sensor. Observe the correct polarity (+/-).
- Plug the AC power adapter into the main forecast station unit, then into a standard wall outlet.
- Insert 3 new AA batteries (not included) into the main forecast station unit for backup power. Observe the correct polarity (+/-).
The main unit will power on and begin searching for the outdoor sensor and atomic time signal.
3.2 Sensor Placement
For optimal performance, place the outdoor sensor in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. Ensure it is within 300 feet (91 meters) of the main unit, with minimal obstructions for clear wireless transmission.
3.3 Initial Setup (Time, Date, Units)
The forecast station will attempt to receive the atomic time signal automatically. If the signal is not received or you wish to set it manually:
- Press the SET button to enter the settings menu.
- Use the +/- buttons to adjust values.
- Press SET again to confirm and move to the next setting (Time Zone, DST, Hour, Minute, Year, Month, Date, Temperature Units °F/°C, Pressure Units inHg/hPa).
- Press the LIGHT button at any time to exit the settings menu.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Display Overview
The color display provides a clear overview of current weather conditions and forecasts. Key areas include:
- Outdoor Section: Displays outdoor temperature, humidity, and signal strength.
- Forecast Section: Shows dynamic weather icons and seasonal foliage.
- Indoor Section: Displays indoor temperature and humidity.
- Time/Date Section: Shows current time, day, and date.
- Barometric Pressure: Displays current pressure and a 24-hour history graph.
- Moon Phase: Indicates the current lunar phase.

4.2 Forecast Display
The forecast icons predict weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on changes in barometric pressure. The seasonal foliage background changes automatically every three months to reflect the current season.

Image 4.3: Display showing a rainy forecast.

Image 4.4: Display showing a partly cloudy forecast.
4.3 Temperature and Humidity Monitoring
The station displays both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. It also records daily minimum and maximum values. Press the HI/LO button to view these records.
4.4 Barometric Pressure
The barometric pressure section shows the current relative pressure and a 24-hour history graph, indicating pressure trends. A rising pressure generally indicates improving weather, while a falling pressure suggests deteriorating conditions.
4.5 Alerts
You can set customizable alerts for high or low indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity. To set an alert:
- Press the ALERTS button to cycle through alert options.
- When the desired alert (e.g., Outdoor HI Temp) is flashing, press SET.
- Use the +/- buttons to adjust the alert value.
- Press SET to confirm.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor and main unit (backup) annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries.
5.2 Cleaning
Clean the display and unit casing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals that may damage the surfaces.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Outdoor Data: Ensure the outdoor sensor has fresh batteries and is within range of the main unit. Press the SEARCH button on the main unit to re-establish connection.
- Incorrect Time: Verify the time zone setting. If the atomic time signal is weak, try relocating the main unit near a window or manually set the time.
- Inaccurate Forecast: The forecast is based on barometric pressure changes and may not always perfectly match local conditions. Allow 7-10 days for the station to calibrate to your local pressure.
- Display Issues: Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected. If using battery backup, check battery levels.
