Installation Instructions

Preparation:

Step 1: Remove Screw Covers

Step 2: Remove Internal Frame Screws

Using a Phillips head screwdriver or a power drill, remove all screws securing the internal frame. During this step, have your partner stand on the outside of the door to support the exterior glass panel, especially if the old adhesive is weak.

Step 3: Loosen Old Adhesive

Use a utility knife to score along the paint line where the frame meets the door. This helps to loosen any old adhesive or paint that might be holding the frame in place.

Step 4: Remove Existing Door Glass

With your partner supporting the exterior panel, carefully push the existing door glass out from the inside. If the adhesive has been sufficiently loosened, it should push out easily.

Step 5: Clean the Opening

Once the old glass is removed, use your utility knife or a putty knife to scrape away any remaining adhesive or debris from the door opening. This ensures a clean surface for the new glass to bond to.

Step 6: Install New Door Glass

With the help of your partner, guide the new door glass panel into the opening from the outside. Ensure it is centered and seated correctly.

Step 7: Secure Internal Frame

Install the inside frame using the provided screws. Use the lowest setting on your drill clutch and hand-tighten to finish, being careful not to over-tighten the screws, which could damage the frame or glass.

Step 8: Install Screw Covers

Snap the screw covers into place over the screw heads on the internal frame.

Step 9: Final Cleaning

Clean your new door glass using your favorite window cleaner and a soft cloth for a clear, streak-free finish.
